We shall explore ; pinching , coil and slab building , paddling , slumping and draping , impressing and clay mould making ; use of coloured clays and slips , use of glazes and resist and decorating techniques.
We shall include inspirational visits to the local archaeological museums to see evidence of how and why artifacts in clay were created and used here in the Ancient Greek colony of Kroton.
Three optional evening slide lectures shall focalize ;

- The aesthetics of the material ; FORMS OF BEAUTY AND UTILITY
